Lindsay Page is a distinguished South African landscape painter from the Eastern Cape. Her work traverses realism, and then reaches beyond that with imaginary force. A graduate of Rhodes University's Art School, she went on to leave her mark as a painter and teacher, wherever she established her home and studio, from KwaZulu-Natal to the Western Cape and the United Kingdom. Her work was exhibited and collected widely throughout her career, including the Tatham Gallery and as a regular at Strydom Gallery, George. In 2016, she held a solo exhibition, The Purple Cloak, at the prestigious Irma Stern Museum, curated by her daughter, the painter, Diana Page. She was part of the acclaimed circle of painters which also includes Brian Bradshaw, Neil Roger, and Robert Brooks, all founding members of the Grahamstown Group.
