Thabo Mbhele

Thabo Mbhele's path as a sculptor is rooted in Africa's vibrant artistic legacy. Born in Lesotho, he drew inspiration from his cousin Bennet Zondo's talent, sparking a passion for ceramics that would define his career. This formative influence refined his craft and deepened his understanding of sculpture's cultural importance. His artistic lineage extends to his brother, Thabiso Makhele, who continues to create stunning works at Ardmore, showcasing the enduring impact of their shared creative roots.
