Nicky Liebenberg

South African 21st century 

Nicky Liebenberg is a South African artist with over two decades of independent work in various mediums, specializing in graphic media, drawing, and printmaking. She earned a National Higher Diploma in Fine Art from Wits Technikon in 1996, focusing on mastering the art of drawing, graduating with distinction and merit and receiving the silver medal for excellence. In 2005, she achieved an advanced diploma in Visual Arts and Art History from Unisa with distinction. Liebenberg has lectured in drawing at the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg and Technikon Witwatersrand. Her work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions, and she was a finalist in the ABSA Atelier Competition and the Thami Mnyele Art Competition. She is currently part of 'The Printing Girls,' a collaboration of South African female printmakers, and her work has been selected for the Woolwich Print Fair in London in October 2023.
