Stefanie de Beer

South African 1976- 

Stefanie de Beer was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1976, formally trained in Fine Arts and Entertainment Technology. de Beer's practice is deeply rooted in nature, storytelling and conservation. Known for expressive three-dimensional sculptures, she raises awareness for endangered animal species.

The artist developed her expertise crafting large-scale sculptures for commercial and public art spaces across South Africa. As an artist-activist, she transforms industrial materials like aluminum and snare-wire into breath-taking, life-sized incarnations of nature's most vulnerable and threatened inhabitants.

She has exhibited both locally and internationally, with works featuring in private collections in Australia, Taiwan, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
