Rosie Mudge

South African 1988- 

Rosie Mudge was born in Knysna, South Africa, and currently lives and works in Cape Town.. She obtained her BA in Fine Art with distinction from the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town in 2013. TALKING BACK was Mudge’s third solo show, exhibited at SMAC Gallery in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2022. Further solo exhibitions include: In my room with Mazzy Star, 2018 and From My Balcony to Yours, 2020 with SMITH Studio, as well as a solo presentation as part of the Artist Room Series titled Long Shadows with SMAC Gallery in Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2020. Mudge has participated in numerous group exhibitions, art fairs and presentations, most recently Soft/Loud, a group exhibition curated by Eliana Blechman, at the Travellers Towers Gallery, Michigan, USA; Smalls, at Otomys Gallery in Melbourne, Australia; and The Absolutely Fabulous Spring Show, at Everard Read in Johannesburg, South Africa, 2021. Mudge recently co-founded two transient project spaces, Cubicle and Jnr, in Cape Town, South Africa.
