Jared Aufrichtig and Samurai Farai (Farai Engelbrecht)

American/South African 20th Century 

Jared Aufrichtig is a multidisciplinary artist and photographer. Born in California, the artist has strong ties to South Africa through his grandmother whom he has visited regularly throughout his life. The impact of living in both South Africa and America has clearly defined his work and resulted in an artist with a unique style. Aufrichtig engages in public art, fine art, murals, street art, and engaging social upliftment projects.

Born in Rustenburg, Farai Engelbrecht is a fresh new South African artist who sometimes works under the pseudonym Samurai Farai since graduating from the Michaelis School of Fine Art (UCT), where Farai specialised in printmaking. The artist is best known for bold figural works that combine Cubism and Street Art references.
