Monique Day-Wilde is a South African-based artist, who started her career as a textile designer working in the hand weaving industry.

The artist's work takes inspiration from her surroundings; the treasures and details of nature often collecting found objects that provide a tangible link to the landscape. Her practice incorporates a variety of techniques; beginning with monotypes prints of physical, natural specimens, with the addition of drawing, stitching, collage, assemblage and painting, creating an intimate response to her surroundings.

During her career as an artist, Day-Wilde has lectured in Bloemfontein and Johannesburg and facilitated private classes. She's taken part in solo and several group exhibitions over the years at a national level.

Awarded the winner of the Art.b book arts competition in 2014, Day-Wilde has had 14 works selected as a finalist in The Vuleka Art Competition and been selected as a Finalist in the Tollman Bouchard Finlayson Tondo competition for the last six years.
Day-Wilde has works in private collections in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Poland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
She is also the author/co-author of 14 books 'How To' art books, and 5 Adult colouring books, which have been translated and distributed worldwide. Recently Monique completed two online workshops commissioned by TextileArtist.org, based in the UK, for their membership.
