Lianne Jedeikin was born in Zimbabwe in the sixties. Her mother, a working artist, was the primary inspiration for her creativity, along with the rich cultural heritage she was exposed to growing up in Africa. Jedeikin began making a living through artistic endeavours when she moved to Los Angeles in 1989 and founded Accentrix Design Studio. Lianne turned to paint as a way of dealing with the strong emotions that surfaced as a result of the election of Donald Trump. “I was struggling to understand my role as an artist deconstructing and reassembling the confusion of my upbringing in Africa and living in the United States during a time of upheaval and uncertainty.” Lianne is studying at the ZArt Academy where she is tutored and mentored by Zhenya Gershman, a Russian-born master painter, art historian, and educator. Lianne’s work has been featured in group shows across California at Las Laguna Gallery in Laguna Beach, the ZArt Academy Show in Brentwood, the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts, Mill Valley, and the RealArt Gallery in Agoura Hills.
