Kristina van Wynsberghe

Swedish 1939- 

Kristina van Wynsberghe, born 1939, is a Swedish artist recognised for her textile works. Her compositions are built from machine-appliquéd fabric, held together with an unconcealed zigzag stitch that has become her signature device. In the 1970s she moved away from her earlier training to develop this textile-based practice, and she is regarded as one of the first representatives of textile art in Sweden.
