Helen Timm

South African 1963-2004 

Helen Timm, born in 1963, studied painting at Rhodes University, completing both her undergraduate and Master's degrees there. She sadly passed away at the age of 40. Julia Meintjes Fine Art represented Timm during her lifetime and continues to do so posthumously. In 2013, the Helen Timm Bursary Fund was established and is awarded annually to three Master's students in Fine Art at Rhodes University, typically specialising in painting. Recipients are selected by the Head of the Department, with consideration given to both academic achievement and financial need.
