Mninawa Qabo Louw

South African 1998- 

Mninawa Qabo Louw was born in 1998 in Cape Town. At the age of 6 his family moved to Hermanus permanently. He became interested in art at the age of 15 when his school in Hermanus gave him the opportunity to explore art through creative projects they had on offer. Not being able to finish his high school education, he went to work at a grocery store, but inside him grew a seed of creativity, and he realized in 2017 that he wanted to create art. Through mentoring by a local gallery Mninawa now produces work full time and as a self-taught artist explores his medium and subject with an attractive brutal honesty, with a natural mastery of composition.
