Kyle Morland

South African 1986- 

Sculptor and photographer Kyle Morland received his BA in Fine Art from the University of Cape Town’s Michaelis School of Fine Art in 2009. He often fashions his own tools to create his sculptures and uses the offcuts of these works to make new ones. Morland’s art engages in discussions surrounding material culture and spatial relationships (scale, volume, weight). He was born in Johannesburg and currently lives and works in Cape Town. Morland’s works can be found in the collections of the University of South Africa, Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, A4 Arts Foundation, Emile Stipp Collection, and the Scheryn Collection.
