Julia Ciccarone

Australian 1967- 

Julia Ciccarone is a Melbourne-based artist exploring the intersection of painting and film through detailed, narrative-driven works that begin as storyboards. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Victorian College of the Arts (1988) and has lived in Italy through a Verdaccio Studio residency. Ciccarone has collaborated with film director Kasimir Burgess and received several accolades, including the Archibald People’s Choice award in 2021.
