Imraan Christian

South African 1992- 

Imraan Christian is a Cape Town-born and -based artist and activist. His art, often rooted in decolonisation, blends indigenous culture and modern mythologies to create powerful figures and narratives. Christian gained international recognition through his photojournalism of South Africa's 2015/2016 student protests. He has since collaborated with global brands such as Nike, MTV, and UNICEF while staying committed to grassroots activism. Recently, his work has expanded to street art, with installations in Munich, Berlin, and Cairo, as well as exhibitions at major art fairs.
