Fringe

South African 1976- 

Born in 1976 in Johannesburg, South Africa, Fringe is a pseudonymous pop artist celebrated for his provocative multimedia creations and striking sculptures. Educated in the Natal Midlands and later in graphic design in Cape Town, he began his career in the corporate world before transitioning to fine art in 2003. His works fuse branding with layered imagery, exploring themes of consumerism, identity, and human connection. Fringe has held thirteen sold-out solo exhibitions globally, with showcases in South Africa, Germany, the UK, and the U.S. His art-spanning oils, mixed media, and sculpture-disrupts and intrigues, offering coded commentary on fame and society.
