Francois Koch

South African 1944- 

Wildlife and landscape artist Francois Koch was born in Johannesburg in 1944. He studied at the Johannesburg School of Art and was a commercial artist and illustrator until 1970 when he became a full-time fine artist. In 1998, Koch and his wife immigrated to the USA and his artwork now features the vistas of the American Southwest.

Koch was commissioned to produce paintings for several South African embassies. His work can also be found in collections such as First National Bank, the South African Reserve Bank, the National Wildlife Museum in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the Booth Museum in Cartersville, Georgia, and the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis, Indiana.
