Douw van Heerden is an artist, illustrator, designer, and educator who was born in Johannesburg in 1957. He received a National Diploma in Graphic Design from Technikon Witwatersrand in 1977. Van Heerden held his first solo exhibition in 1988 at Crake Gallery in Johannesburg.
