Dino Paravano

South African 1935- 


Dino Paravano, born in 1935 in Rome, Italy, immigrated to South Africa with his family in 1947. Initially guided by his father, an amateur artist trained at the Institute of Fine Arts in Rome, Paravano developed a lifelong passion for art. Though primarily self-taught, he studied at the Johannesburg College of Art and undertook study tours across Europe and the Americas. Known for his luminous wildlife and landscape paintings in pastel and oil, Paravano gained international recognition and has exhibited in several group and solo shows globally. He moved to the United States in 1992 and now resides in Tucson, Arizona. Paravano is a signature member of several prestigious art societies and was named Master Wildlife Artist by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wisconsin in 1993.
