Carl Becker

South African 1956- 

Carl Becker, born in 1956 in Johannesburg, is a South African painter known for his landscapes. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1980 and a Master in Fine Arts in 1992 from Rhodes University. Becker has had several solo exhibitions since 1991, including shows like The Cape Pierneef Sites (2011) and Incidental Landscapes (2009). His works are featured in public collections such as the Iziko South African National Gallery and the Johannesburg Art Gallery, as well as corporate collections like SASOL. He currently lives and works in Hermanus.
