Beth Diane Armstrong

South African 1985- 

Beth Diane Armstrong is a South African sculptor born in Nelspruit in 1985 and known for her use of steel. She received both her Bachelor of Fine Arts (2007) and Master of Fine Arts (2010) from Rhodes University; her BFA exhibition, Hibernation, was acquired for their permanent collection. Now living and working in Johannesburg, her works range from intimate pieces to monumental public installations. Armstrong was awarded the Standard Bank Young Artist Award for Visual Arts in 2017 and her work has been featured in several solo and group shows both locally and internationally. Notable commissions have included sculptures for Design Miami, Florida, Design Basel, Switzerland, and the National English Literary Museum in Makhanda.
