Peter Bishop Allen

American 1943-2004 

Peter Bishop Allen was a renowned Marin County woodcarver celebrated for his life-like sculptures of marine mammals, including seals, otters, and whales. His iconic piece, Fifi, a life-sized bronze harbour seal sculpture, gained prominence in the mid-1980s after former San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein commissioned similar works as official gifts for world leaders.
