Michelle Okpare, born in 1996 in Nigeria, is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores identity, mental health, and societal issues, focusing on gender in African society. Raised between Nigeria and the Ivory Coast, Okpare draws from her childhood experiences and incorporates crepe paper, acrylic paint, and lace fabric remnants into her works. She holds a Bachelor of Art in Fine Art from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and has exhibited internationally, including in Italy, Russia, South Africa, and the USA.
