Hugh Frost focuses on creating realistic and highly detailed wildlife and figure sculptures. He is interested in portraying the nuances of each animal or the embodiment of the figure, capturing both their physical appearance and the emotions they convey. His use of fractured elements in his sculptures adds a component of contemporary art and unique expression to his work. Other influences include Eastern philosophy and literature such as Yoga, Taoism, Buddhism, anatomy, physical movement, the conditioning of wildlife, and the human body through space and time. Frost believes that art has the power to connect people to nature, and his sculptures are a testament to that. His sculptures are a celebration of the beauty of nature and the importance of biophilia to be able to evolve in and with it.
