Artists

Frances Goodman was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she currently lives and works. Goodman obtained her Master's Degree in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College at the University of London in 2000 and holds a Laureateship from the Hoger Instituut Voor Schone Kunsten (HISK) in Antwerp, Belgium. She was a recipient of the Cecily Brown Fellowship for Outstanding Woman Artists in 2014 and took part in the Fountainhead Residency Programme in Miami, USA, in 2015. Goodman has held numerous local and international solo and group exhibitions throughout her career, some of which include Mirror Me This, a solo booth at Investec Cape Town Art Fair (2025) and Red Runs Through at Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire, Paris (2024). Other shows includes Altered States at SMAC, Johannesburg (2023), Ecstacy at Galleri SPECTA, Copenhagen (2022) and Transmogrified at Richard Taittinger Gallery, New York (2021).
