Three-time IWSC World Winemaker of the Year winner Abrie Beeslaar is widely regarded as one of South Africa’s leading Pinotage producers. Following his departure from Kanonkop Estate in 2024, he continues to focus on his acclaimed eponymous label, whose wines are recognised among the Cape’s finest modern expressions of Pinotage. Beeslaar believes that “if you are fortunate enough to have the right terroir and are willing to put in the effort that Pinotage deserves, there is no wine more rewarding.”
