Maximin Grünhaus

Germany - Mertesdorf 

Weingut Maximin Grünhaus is one of Germany’s most historic and distinguished Riesling estates, situated on the steep, south-facing slopes of the Ruwer Valley near Mertesdorf. The estate’s viticultural history reaches back to Roman times, while the property itself served for almost a thousand years as an outlying estate of the Benedictine monastery of St Maximin in Trier. Since the late 19th century, Grünhaus has been owned by the von Schubert family and is today run by the sixth generation, Maximin and Amelie von Schubert.
