Bosquet des Papes

France - Rhône Valley

The Boirons family has been a winegrower family for five generations. It all started back in 1860 when Emmanuel Boiron invested in local Rhône vineyards. One generation after the other, the estate was expanded all the while respecting the terroir and maintaining the quality of the wines. In 1966, his great grandson, Maurice, gave real scope to the property by buying over 10 more hectares of vines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, bringing the total to 27 hectares, and renamed the estate ‘Bosquet des Papes’. Since 1995, his son Nicolas has contributed by purchasing of 3 hectares of Côtes du Rhône and 4.5 more hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With his wife Jeanne-Claire, they have embraced technical progress while respecting tradition.
