Clos des Jacobins

France - Bordeaux

Clos des Jacobins is a historic wine estate in Saint-Émilion, located on the edge of the medieval village within the renowned Bordeaux. The estate takes its name from the Dominican monks (Jacobins) who travelled through Saint-Émilion on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela during the Middle Ages. The vineyard site has been cultivated for centuries and is considered one of the oldest in the appellation. Clos des Jacobins has been owned by the Decoster family since 2004, who have invested significantly in improving vineyard management and winemaking. The estate holds the status of Grand Cru Classé in the Saint-Émilion Classification, reflecting its recognised quality within the appellation.
