Château d’Armailhac was once a part of Château Mouton Rothschild, as we know it today. The estate gets its name from the two d’Armailhacq brothers who first owned the land. After many years, the d’Armailhacq family fell into debt, and the building of the château had to come to an end. Today, the château is still only half complete, and has become part of the tradition of d’Armailhac.
