Ceretto

Italy - Piedmont 

Ceretto is a wine producer in Piedmont, making top-quality Barolo and Barbaresco. Founded by Ricardo Ceretto in 1930, it is famous for being a pioneer of the trend toward single-vineyard Barolo wines. The company grew considerably in the 1970s and two wineries were constructed. Bricco Roche in Barolo, and one in Barbaresco, known as Bricco Asili, both named for vineyard sites in their respective appellations. They were created to produce wines exclusively from single vineyard sites that were selected by Ricardo's in the mid-20th Century. The first vintage of these "cru" wines was in 1986, from the Bricco Roche vineyard in Barolo.
