Terracura

Swartland 

​Terracura is a notable South African winery rooted in the Swartland region's innovative winemaking movement. The venture began when Michael Roets acquired concrete eggs during the 2010 and 2011 Swartland Revolution events, leading to the release of Silwervis Chenin Blanc in 2011. In 2014, winemaker Ryan Mostert joined the team, contributing significantly until his departure in 2021. In 2022, Chris Groenewald, a seasoned wine importer and distributor with a DipWSET qualification, took over winemaking duties and became a co-owner alongside Roets. ​
