Ferreira

Portugal - Douro Valley 

Ferreira is the name of the winery under which the Ferreira family of winemakers produced port wines since 1751. The initially small company was enlarged by José Bernando and António Bernando, both grandsons of the founder. António's wife, Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, took over the company after her husband's death and helped consolidate and modernize it.

In 1987, the spirits group Sogrape took over the company.
