Castarede is the oldest Armagnac house still in family hands, founded in 1832 by Jean Castarede in Pont-de-Bordes in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, where sandy, iron-rich sableux soils produce brandies of uncommon elegance and aromatic finesse. Six generations of the Castarede family have maintained an extraordinary archive of single-vintage Armagnacs spanning more than 180 years of uninterrupted production.
