Bunnahabhain

Scotland

Bunnahabhain was founded in 1881 by William Robertson in partnership with brothers William and James Greenlees on the remote northeastern shore of Islay, with production commencing in 1883. It stands apart from every other distillery on Scotland's most celebrated island. Where its neighbours build reputations on volcanic peat and medicinal smoke, Bunnahabhain has always pursued a quieter and more unusual ambition: to make an unpeated Islay single malt of exceptional finesse, drawing instead on the clean mineral character of the Margadale Spring and the distillery's extraordinarily tall pot stills, the tallest on Islay, whose long necks prevent heavy flavour compounds from reaching the spirit and in doing so produce a whisky of natural delicacy and complexity.

We have not offered any works by Bunnahabhain at auction
