Georg Jensen and Ibe Dahlquist

Swedish jewellery designer Ibe Dahlquist joined the Georg Jensen silversmithy in 1965, contributing to the firm's renewed emphasis on Scandinavian Modern design in the post-war period. Her work is characterised by sculptural, organic forms and a restrained modernist aesthetic, reflecting a departure from Georg Jensen's Art Nouveau tradition while maintaining the exceptional standards of craftsmanship associated with the Copenhagen house. Dahlquist's designs for Georg Jensen remain among the most distinctive examples of twentieth-century Scandinavian silver jewellery.
