James Wilks


  • This James Wilks was a London-based "largeworker" who entered his first marks (using "WI" and "IW") on December 31, 1722, operating from Golden Lane.
  • He is known to have produced a large quantity of flatware, including spoons.
  • Examples of his work, such as Georgian George II silver Hanoverian pattern tablespoons from 1742, can still be found and are sought after by collectors.
