The son of Jan (Johannes) Combrink (1751) and Johanna Elizabeth Essler, baptized at the Cape on 3 June 1781. Married Aurelia Wilhelmina Lotter on 1807. Died November 1853. He was the father of Johannes Combrink (1810) and the grandfather of Johannes Combrink (c.1860s). His hallmarks were also used by his son and grandson, making it hard to definitively date items with his hallmark.
