Paris, France 

Born in Argentine in 1908, Fred Samuel founded Fred Joaillier, a French jewellery brand. He has a fascination for and concentrated on pearls, diamonds and multi-coloured stones.

He was known for his 'FRED-coloured' (a creamy pink hue) pearls and worked only with the best pearls. His work was influenced by his love of sunlight and passion for the sea.

Fred Samuel's first store was opened in 1936 in Paris, today there are FRED stores located all over the world.
