Marthinus Lourens Smith arrived at the Cape on 27 October 1757 from Aalborg, Denmark. Died on 18 March 1806.
Smith arrived at age 35, so we assume already trained as a silversmith. His work was of good quality. He lived a long live, married 4 times, and had 10 children, he died in 1806 age 84.
