Geraldine Fenn is a contemporary jeweller based in Johannesburg, where she maintains a studio with her husband Eric Loubser. She earned a BA in Archaeology and Classical Civilisation at Wits University, followed by studies in Jewellery Design in Durban, and completed a Master's in Fine Arts at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2005. Fenn’s work is layered and figurative, exploring multiple media and techniques, and often reflects her position as a person of European descent in a post-colonial, post-apartheid South African context. Fusing traditional African production methods with Western historical tropes to create hybrid, original expressions. Recipient of a grant from the Art Jewelry Forum in the United States, she will present a solo exhibition in Montreal in June 2026.
