Abadi Retuerta

Abadía Retuerta is a leading winery located in Sardón de Duero, in the Castilla y León region of northern Spain, just west of the Ribera del Duero appellation. The estate is best known for its high-quality red wines, both blends and varietal expressions, made primarily from Tempranillo alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot.

Although geographically close to Ribera del Duero, Abadía Retuerta lies outside the DO boundaries and therefore its wines are classified as Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León. The estate typically highlights its provenance on the label with “Viñedos Propios – Sardón de Duero,” emphasising its single-estate vineyard sourcing.

Founded in 1996, the property was developed with a modern, state-of-the-art winery and has since become one of the most influential estates in elevating the reputation of its region through precision viticulture and high-quality winemaking.
