Notes
Cape Rococo side tables were very simple in form with decoration mainly on the carved and shaped aprons. The legs were slender cabriolet, typically with a high knee and sometimes shaped or carved.
The fine blue-grey slate used in Cape furniture was quarried either at Robben Island or on the side of Signal Hill in Cape Town.
