Cape stinkwood side table, 18th century
the moulded and shaped rectangular top with rounded notched corners, above a wave-shaped apron with a frieze drawer, raised on cabriole legs terminating in hoof feet

Notes
Cape Rococo side tables were very simple, with shaped tops and decoration mainly on the carved and shaped aprons. The legs were typically gently curved, slender cabrioles with a high knee ending in slipper or pad feet.
