A Japanese embroidered silk tobacco Tabako-ire pouch, Meiji period, 1868-1912

the bright multi-hued pouch stitched with a fierce dragon amongst clouds chasing a flaming pearl, with Mount Fuji visible to the inside, the front applied with a silver dragon and flaming pearl kanamono, the handle with a double row of six interlocking silver chains with a silver clasp moulded with a dragon, the kagamibuta netsuke with ivory bowl enclosing a plaque depicting a dragon contesting a flaming pearl, the pouch 14,1 by 9,1cm
