carved with a small boy enclosed by a calabash, a rat with horn-inlaid eyes to one side, the reverse incised with foliate motifs, raised on an oval ivory base, paintedtwo-character mark, 4,5cm high; a Japanese hirado white-glazed hannya noh mask, Meiji period, 1868-1912, with pierced aperture to the reverse, minor chip, 4,7cm high; a Japanese carved rock crystal netsuke of a peach, Meiji period, 1868-1912, the red-painted metal stopper with metal branch and cord attachment, 4,5cm long; a Japanese brass and silver tea kettle manju netsuke, Meiji period, 1868-1912, of spherical shape, the partially loose cover surmounted by a ball finial, the tapering sides applied with loop handles, the base applied with a hinged bale, 4cm high; and a Japanese walrus manju netsuke, Meiji period, 1868-1912, carved in the shape of shells, 4,9cm wide
