About this Item
A Japanese bronze and cloisonné enamel koro and cover, Meiji period, circa 1860
the hexagonal body centred by a shaped panel moulded with three birds, the reverse with a bird amongst prunus, enclosed by brightly enamelled scrolling foliage and flowerheads, the sides applied with archaic handles surmounted by flowerheads, the conforming cover surmounted by a shi shi, raised on three archaic-style tubular bracket feet, four-character seal mark, 32,5cm high
