the carved figure struggling to push a large snowball, his tunic incised with floral design against a diaper ground highlighted in black, chip, 3,5cm high; a Japanese ivory figure of a bird seller, Meiji period, 1868-1912, the jolly figure carved with one hand holding a bird cage containing a bird, his other hand outstretched and holding a bird, wearing geta, signed, minor loss, 4,8cm high; a Japanese ivory netsuke of a figure tending to bonsai, Meiji period, 1868-1912, the smiling figure sitting on a bench with one leg raised, pruning a bonsai tree, signed in a red cartouche, 4,4cm high; a Japanese ivory netsuke of a merchant on horseback, Meiji period, 1868-1912, the carved figure holding the reins, a young boy to his left holding a rope, signed, 5,8cm high; and a Japanese ivory reclining figure, Meiji period, 1868-1912, carved holding a fan in one hand and a bowl in the other, the tunic carved with foliate motifs, signed, 2,5cm high
