A Japanese bronze and mixed metal two-case inro, Edo period, 1615-1868
contained within a pierced bronze outer case, one side moulded with a fierce dragon, the other with a tiger rubbing his back against a tree, with fretwork sides, the cover enclosing a seal compartment, the first case with extendable cased brush, the second cover with seal box, with pierced flowerhead and bead ojime, with pierced clam-shaped manju netsuke, 7,3cm high
