A Japanese bronze lamp, possibly by Mitsumoto, Meiji period, 1868-1912
the naturalistically modelled elephant standing on its back legs with front legs raised, balancing on a globe, the curled trunk fitted with a light fitting, raised on a wooden gnarled base, three-character signature, possibly by Mitsumoto, fitted for electricity, 56,4cm high; and a Japanese bronze figure of an elephant, Meiji period, 1868-1912, naturalistically modelled, standing four square, with curled trunk and tail, lackingone tusk, the other broken, three-character mark, 11,4cm high
