Notes
A standing pottery tomb figure, T’ang dynasty, with tall headdress and long draped robes, the hands held before the body, on a wooden base. Covered in a light yellow slip with wear and burial encrustations. Figures of this type were placed in tombs as attendants for the deceased. The simplified modelling and restrained posture are typical of the period.
